First 50th Anniversary Casting | Doctor Who TV

The first few bits of casting for the 50th anniversary special has been revealed. No, it’s not any past Doctors, unfortunately.

According to his CV, actor Ken Bones is playing a character simply called the General. While newcomer Orlando James is playing someone called Lord Bentham.

Bones’ more recent TV appearances include BBC’s Upstairs Downstairs. He’ll also be appearing later in the year on Da Vinci’s Demons and new BBC fantasy show Atlantis.

According to his agents, Marshall Griffin has also been cast, though his character is not named.
