5 Centimeters Per Second's Debut - IGN

In December, 2007, ADV Films will release 5 Centimeters Per Second on DVD. The largest anime distributor-producer in the United States has achieved the exclusive rights to the latest legendary anime, which is from within the mind of Makoto Shinkai, the mastermind behind such epic anime adventures as Voices From A Distant Star and The Place Promised in Our Early Days.
The film itself revolves around a couple of young school children who become good friends before being separated. After a year of being apart, the two children attempt to meet up with one another, but when a devastating snowstorm threatens their reunion, they begin to wonder if it will never come to pass. If you're attending the 2007 Anime Expo, ADV Films will debut a 35mm subtitled version of 5 Centimeters Per Second at two late night screenings on Saturday, June 30th.
