Bone
A bone was a support organ that collectively made up a body's skeletal system. Bones were made up of calcium, and contained bone marrow.
One whose bones were prominent was sometimes referred to as bony. (DS9: "Wrongs Darker Than Death or Night", "Strange Bedfellows") In 2346, a Cardassian legate found all Bajoran women to be bony, with "Luma Rahl" no exception. "Rahl" explained that it was due to malnutrition from the Cardassians eating all their food. (DS9: "Wrongs Darker Than Death or Night")
