Clash on the Fire Plains was an example of classic proto-Vulcan literature.
When Tuvok was comatose due to an attack by the mysterious Ba'Neth in 2376, Neelix brought some belongings from Tuvok's quarters to sickbay including a copy of Clash on the Fire Plains. Neelix intended to recite the complete drama by Tuvok's bedside, performing all twenty-three parts himself. (VOY: "Riddles")
The story presumably takes place at the Fire Plains on Vulcan.
