A community was a group of individuals or a social group interacting together at the same place under similar environmental conditions.
In 2254, the Talosians lived in a community deep under the surface of their world. That year, the Talosians had intended to create a Human community from the descendants of Vina and Captain Christopher Pike. These plans came to naught as the Humans were unsuitable for the Talosians' needs. (TOS: "The Cage")
