Mädchen Amick
Mädchen (pronounced "Maid-tshun") Amick (born 12 December 1970; age 54) is the actress who played the teenage form of the being known as Anya in the Star Trek: The Next Generation second season episode "The Dauphin". She was the runner up to Jaime Hubbard for the role of Salia.
Having pursued an acting career since she was sixteen, Amick is best known for playing battered wife Shelly Johnson on Twin Peaks, on which she was a regular cast member from 1990 through 1991. The Twin Peaks ensemble also included Ray Wise, Sheryl Lee, Richard Beymer, Catherine Coulson, Michael John Anderson and Kenneth Welsh. Twin Peaks recurring and guest actors included Miguel Ferrer, Carel Struycken, Brenda Strong and David Warner. She had recurring roles on the series Dawson's Creek and Gilmore Girls, and had recurring roles as Wendy Meade on ER and as Sara on Joey.
She has also starred in several feature films. In 1992, she co-starred with Star Trek movie performers Alice Krige and Ron Perlman in Sleepwalkers, and in 1995, she starred in Dream Lover, featuring Erick Avari and Harriet Leider. Her other film credits include The Borrower (1991, with Tom Towles), Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me (1992), French Exit (1995, with Molly Hagan), Bombshell (1996, with Art Chudabala), Wounded (1997, with Robert Costanzo and Jim Beaver), Face to Face (2001, with Dean Stockwell and Jonathan Banks), and Scenes of the Crime (2001, with Bob Gunton and Amy Wieczorek).
In 1998, Amick co-starred in Fantasy Island with Malcolm McDowell, who was playing the role originally played by Ricardo Montalban. She was later a regular on NBC's My Own Worst Enemy along with Christian Slater, Alfre Woodard, and James Cromwell. Amick also played Doctor Aubrey Hunter, girlfriend to Gary Sinise's Mac Taylor on CSI: NY starring Star Trek: Voyager guest actor Robert Joy.
Amick later portrayed Wendy Beauchamp in Witches of East End which was canceled after two seasons in 2014. Virginia Madsen, Steven Berkoff, and Matt Frewer had recurring roles on this series.
From 2017 to 2023, Amick portrayed the character Alice Cooper in The CW's series Riverdale.
