Ravah
Ravah was a non-binary Halem'nite who lived during the 32nd century.
Biography[]
Ravah lived with their father Ohvahz on the pre-warp planet Halem'no, near the High Summit. The two moved there after their mother died and their father became priest of the Summit.
Together with Michael Burnham and Sylvia Tilly they set out on the Journey of the Mother Compeer, a race and test of devotion. The test is said to make the gods happy which then grant the people rain. At the time of Burnham and Tilly's visit there had not been rain for a very long time.
The race began with the competitors being given a cube that parched them. The competitors had to race dehydrated, and drinking of the water along the path render the competitor disqualified. At the end Ravah and Tilly were the only two left. Having passed the last hurdle, the two of them were given water and entered the temple.
The temple was actually a vacuum chamber where the victors of the race were to suffocate to death. Ravah and Tilly nearly died of asphyxiation before being rescued by Burnham, Ovahz and Hugh Culber. (DIS: "Whistlespeak")
