USS Luna
The USS Luna (NCC-80101) was a Luna-class Federation starship in service to Starfleet during the early 25th century.
In 2401, the Luna joined a Starfleet armada coordinated by the Singularity to deflect a massive energy burst from a newly forming transwarp conduit. (PIC: "Farewell")

Targeting the Excelsior
Later that year, the Luna participated in Frontier Day celebrations near Sol Station. Along with the rest of the fleet, it was seized by the Borg Collective after its younger crew were assimilated by a Borg signal transmitted via Jack Crusher. It, along with the USS Cochrane, USS Intrepid, and USS Hikaru Sulu were directly responsible for destroying the USS Excelsior. (PIC: "Vox")
The Luna first appeared in the Star Trek: Titan novel Taking Wing, in which it is the prototype of its class, launched in 2372 with the registry NX-80101.
The presence of this ship in "Farewell" was confirmed by Dave Blass. [1]
