  1. (intransitive) to be interested (to show interest in someone or something: iránt)
    A fiam a sportok iránt érdeklődik. ― My son is interested in sports.
  2. (intransitive) to inquire (about someone or something: után or felől or -ról/-ről)
    A barátaink az édesanyám egészsége felől érdeklődtek. ― Our friends inquired about my mother's health.
    A szomszédom arról érdeklődött, hogy meg vagyok-e elégedve a környékkel. ― My neighbor asked me if I was happy with the neighborhood.
