I’m still not entirely convinced that she’s a Patternari demon. Certainly her titles suggest such a thing, but she’s a lot less covert and duplicitous than you’d expect. The worst she’s done in terms of duplicity that I can see is find a way to mask the energy signature of her being summoned, and lie to Virus about the spatial warping.

Or whether the source of the information is reliable. I cannot imagine the kinds of people with firsthand experiences at summoning a Patternari demon would act so out of character with prerequisites, no matter how well the Inquisitions’ enhanced interrogation techniques used to make them squeal.

The way she behaves, I’m wondering if she’s the predator or the scavenger here. Then again, being friendly is a pretty effective way to confuse prey when you’re a daemon.

Predator’s got my theory. No sign of a scavenger, or anyone else for that matter.
Course, that assumes she’s lying and IS altering the building’s structure. If not, then it might be a good idea to leave.

I dunno, while she is a soulsucking daemon from the depths of Hell itself, I don’t think she would go so far as to LIE to our heroes.
Plus, that happens, then she goes back into the Warp for a period of time, and in a few years, back here when some dumbass reads a book they shouldn’t.

Spider’s are predators. They just let the prey come to them, which East and Virus have readily done. Thus, they’re free to run around in her trap, get tired out and be all the more easy to prey on.
Standard spider MO. Only with way more reality and sanity warping.

I’m liking Vitani more and more each page. She seems nice, though probably still likely to eat their souls or whatever once she gets bored, but it is a step up from some of the other ‘I am a demon and there is nothing you puny mortals can do to stop me’ types of demons they have encountered.

Yeah pretty sure she is not an idiot that will just let them walk. My guess is she is simply bored and wants someone to talk to apart from the cultists (which are nowhere to be seen BTW).
P.S.Why does it take so long to update these things? Wasn’t this plot line supposed to be done ages ago?

My hubby puts a lot of effort into each and every comic; he goes above and beyond what people’s expectations are, raising the bar that much higher each time.
Although, I do get some of the blame lately, as I’ve helped him procrastinate a bit in Borderlands 2.

Just cause it’s been plotted out for a long time does not mean it’s been drawn up for a long time and even if they started drawing the storyline years ago the drawing style has evolved so much I don’t think they would have used the old stuff anyway so they would have to redraw everything anyway…. and with the detail that goes into this comic as opposed to comics that come out 1-3 times a week…. well FIRST you have to get the basic stuff done like where the characters are then you have to pencil in the background then you have to ink unless you do the whole thing on the computer (I don’t draw on my computer I draw in pencil mostly because I don’t have anything to use to draw with except a mouse and they are hard to draw with) THEN you have to color it in which is first basic shapes then shading then you also have to do speech bubbles. The backgrounds probably take the bulk of the time I notice that comics that come out more often either skimp on the background or are in black and white. It takes TIME to draw, ink, color, and shade and you don’t always get what you want the first time. Yeah I can see it taking 2-4 weeks to get this comic out….. you will notice that even comics that have LOTS of people working on them take shortcuts on backgrounds to be even monthlies. And for them it’s their JOB not their HOBBY.

Ummm I think there is a typo in the 5th(?) Panel when Virus Is talking about tranquilizers It reads “soon shut him up.” Shouldn’t it be “should shut him up.”?

It’s colloquial English, contracting ‘should soon’ or ‘will soon’ to ‘, soon’. More heard in speech than writing.

Meh Why do you need “soon” at all? Isn’t “should” by it’s self good enough? Granted I’m an American so I do use different words but I’d drop “soon” faster then dropping “should”…..

They could do, but the colloquial English is part of what gives Exterminatus Now it’s charm, over other comics that normally just rely on auto-correct or having Windows constantly try to convert the Queens English to your wacky Yanky English. ;-)

ok that I can understand and is true but if something that is slang is used maybe a bit of an explanation for it could help esp since not everyone uses the same English ^. ^ BTW something I have always wondered what is the difference between Git and Goit(SP?)? or is there one?

A “Git” is a bit like calling someone an “Ass” in america
“Goit” is more like “Tool” As far as I understand… They’re kinda interchangable… English colloquial doesnt always make sense…and it depends WHERE in England you are XD“Goyt” however is Valley over here in the peak district. XD

I don’t know which I love more, Vitani or her interaction/banter with Virus. You guys have done great with her so far, and I’m definitely looking forward to the rest of this story arc. Also… Just putting this out there, but I get the feeling that she’s going to try and corrupt Virus.

Again. I absolutly LOVE Vitani! She is the supreme bestest best deamon you guys have come up with yet! She is a way better antagonist them Morth. She is just plain AWESOME! She is defnitley at the top of my fave web comic antagonists page, most definitley!
Run Virus, run! I doubt it will do you much good, but do it anyway. I can see al sorts of games waiting for the duo. Of course, I am hoping to see more interaction between Virus and Vitani, as their dynamic is just so fun to watch! Harry has no dynamic, unless you count shivering in fear and panicking at the sight of her a dynamic. Either way, YAY! So much fun to be had! So much fun.
Err….where, exactly, are the cultists that summoned her? Did she eat them? It wouldn’t surprise me if she did, she seems to the type to turn on her own simply out of boredom. Hence why she is so bored right now, right? She killed everyone now she’s alone. Now that shes not alone she wants to play. Playtime!
Are Rogue and Lothar sitting somewhere watching things from a distance and laughing their butts off, waiting for the right time to attack, or are they captured/lost in the maze?

Hrm. I think she is an ascended daemon princess like morth. (Insert obligingly drag joke here) from the page where the leader of the third incursion gets killed we know that his parents died, probably due to her and morth working together before they ascended; again supported by the same page. Anyone else remembering the want ad morth placed for a queen of darkness and he’ll fire to rule by his side? I bet she ascended first and inspired morth to do the same. Only question is, how did morth get back to life? With the help of vitani? I bet that’s where she gets the patternari style from, if she’s a soulthirster. And the other question is when does morth pop out and scare the shit out of Eastwood? With Lothar and Rouge in hand?
