For Kern ‘cause I was giving him grief on his less than informed drawing of a mount.

For those of you wondering what is up with the hooves, Kern described the evolution of these unicorns as one being something like a cross between a horse and a mountain goat. These equines have lived underground for thousands of generations, and their breeding has been guided by the gray-skinned drow. There is within the compound light and grass, so the unicorns would not have fully adapted to living in a cavern environment. Rather, living partially in cavern, partially with barely tenable grazing ground, and lots and lots of uneven ground.

Right, so I had fun drawing the unicorn (been a long time since I’ve done that) an I had fun with the armor as well. The Drow in Drowtales have this obsession with hair dye, so I figured that’d be extended to the tails, mains and fetlocks. Umm... and my personal training in English saddle show's through here... though, I do have to admit that I see the yallow cloth more of a covering for armor and padding that is underneath it, not just the saddle blanket. The stirrups are a bit more solid than what you'd see on a english saddle, but not by much. I think that with all the leaping and climbing these unicorns do, the lighter the armor, the better. Of course, you still have to protect against arrows and magic, but... yeah. Loose wieght where you can. Hope you enjoy.
