Welcome to Geograph Deutschland

The Geograph project aims to collect geographically representative photographs and information for every square kilometre of Germany. We use MGRS coordinates (grid in Germany) in UTM zones 31, 32, and 33.

226 users have contributed 254,145 images covering 65,516 grid squares, or 17.90% of the total.

The project uses code, which is kindly provided by the maintainers of the British Geograph project. More information about using the code can be found in the HOWTO and in the code area. Please note that the project is still at a very early stage, so many pages are not yet translated or even not available at all.

Although the implementation is still incomplete, your contribution to the project is welcome. Feedback is possible via our contact form or mail.

php Update

Die aktuell genutzte php-Version wird in Kürze nicht mehr angeboten. Ich habe daher auf eine neuere Version upgedatet. Bislang lief alles glatt, Probleme können aber nicht ausgeschlossen werden. Wenn etwas auffällt, bitte melden!

There was a php update on our server. Apparently there were no major problems until now. If you experience any problems, please contact us!

Datenbank-Update

Mein Hoster hat für die Woche vom 16.10. bis zum 20.10. ein Datenbank-Update angekündigt. Ich habe zwar einige prophylaktische Änderungen eingepflegt, es kann aber leider nicht ausgeschlossen werden, dass danach Probleme zu beheben sind. Spätestens nach dem Wochenende 21./22.10. sollte aber alles wie gewohnt funktionieren.

Wartung (Nächte 12.06./13.06 bis 16.06./17.06.)

Mein Hoster hat Wartungsarbeiten angekündigt, weshalb einmalig in einem der Zeitfenster 12.06.2023/13.06.2023 bis 16.06.2023/17.06.2023 jeweils zwischen 22:00 bis 6:00 mit einer kurzen Dienstunterbrechungen zu rechnen ist.

My hoster has announced maintenance works; the site will not be available for a short period of time, between 22:00 and 06:00 during one of the nights from 12/06/2023 to 16/06/2023.
