Demonic Script

The Demons of Limbo speak the language of the Demonic Script.^[1]

When the New Mutants came to Limbo, they had a hard time understanding the language of the Demons. Some of the script was translated by the omnilingual mutant Cypher.^[1]

Notes

• New Mutants (Vol. 3) #17 was provided with a cipher code so the reader can translate the Speech Bubbles.
• The original language of the Symbiotes is rendered using the same glyphs.^[2]
• When the Fantastic Four arrived on Spyre in Fantastic Four (Vol. 6) #15, their dialogue appeared in this font. That issue's copious amount of 'alien' dialogue provides the most complete source for deciphering the letters elsewhere.
• The varying designs of the glyphs, with some being completely abstracted while others are more recognizable as the English letters they represent, suggests the character set may have been built in intervals based on whatever the letterer needed at the time. 'Z', one of the most infrequently used letters, may have been missed in the end. In Fantastic Four (Vol. 6) #15, the letter 'Z' appears only once, when the Thing is saying "Suzie".
