Great Eye
The Great Eye was the holiest relic of Spyre and the basis of their entire society. It was located atop the Tower of Over-Site.[1] When a Spyrican came of age, they were taken to the Great Eye to be scanned and measured against the radiation signature of everyone on the planet to find their perfect match in spirit, heart and mind.[2] It was this constant state of harmony which allowed Spyricans to become a utopia.[3]
When the Fantastic Four traveled to Spyre, they were confronted with the revelation that Spyre's patriarch, the Overseer had been responsible for the cosmic ray storm that mutated them.[4] Because of this, The Thing made his way to the Tower of Over-Site to kill the Overseer in revenge. When he confronted the Overseer, The Thing destroyed the Great Eye.[1]
