After returning to Marchand Pharmaceuticals, Jess and Michael argue on the next course of action until Rebecca arrives to thank Jess for the save at her birthday party. When Rebecca inquires about Jess's family, she admits that she sent them to an upstate safehouse given her current condition, but is happy her son is fine where he is. The moment is interrupted by a siege on the building and Stephen, one of the doctors, holding Rebecca hostage. Jess easily neutralizes his threat and escorts father and daughter to the roof to escape to a private jet. In the air, Michael continues to be evasive of the whole situation with Jess, who talks with Rebecca about her condition and she opens up about acting strong when really she feels angry that she is limited by her condition. Upon coming under fire by pursuing jets, Jess takes the reins and pilots in a joyously mad fervor destroying the enemy jets, but the victory is short-lived as their evasion drained their fuel, forcing a crash landing on a snowy mountain peak.
Escaping with minor scrapes, Jess's fevered anger at Michael's secrecy draws the attention of Dino-men, who Jess and Michael fend off even though Rebecca demands he simply tell her. As Michael uses a Venom Blast, a dino gets past a distracted Jess attacking Rebecca, but Jess intercepts the creature in time. Looking past a clearing, an enraged Jess realizes they are in Wundagore, and upon demanding answers is told by a voice to stop abusing her brother, immediately identified as Miriam Drew. Jess slumps to the ground as she sees her mother once more, greeting her return to Wundagore Mountain.
