This storybook has several notable differences that contradict the events of the film. The Masters of the Mystic Arts are not shown to use Sling Rings when opening up Inter-Dimensional Portals and Doctor Strange is in turn never given a Sling Ring during his training at Kamar-Taj. During the Battle at the New York Sanctum, Strange escapes through a portal to the New York Sanctum rather than unexpectedly being transported there in the aftermath of the explosion caused by Kaecilius. Moreover, no one beside Strange is shown to be protecting the New York Sanctum. Therefore, this storybook has been determined to hold a non-canon status per our Canon Policy.
