Marvel Spotlight is a label by Marvel Studios affixed to projects that are characterized by their grounded and character-driven storytelling approach, starting with Echo.

In November 2023, Marvel Spotlight was announced and Brad Winderbaum stated that it was a "platform to bring more grounded, character-driven stories to the screen", with Echo being the first project released under the banner. The name comes from a comic book anthology series published between 1971 and 1981. Winderbaum noted the similarity stating: "Just like comics fans didn't need to read Avengers or Fantastic Four to enjoy a Ghost Rider Spotlight comic, our audience doesn't need to have seen other Marvel series to understand what's happening in Maya's story." It was also announced that Michael Giacchino had composed the musical fanfare for the banner.^[2]

On November 15, 2023, Deadline reported that Wonder Man would be one of the projects released under the banner.^[3]

On December 21, 2023, in an interview, Vincent D'Onofrio stated that he believed that Daredevil: Born Again would be one of the projects released under the banner.^[4] However, it did not end up being a Spotlight series.
