Dick Cavett (b. 1936) was a popular talk show host. The Muppets appeared multiple times on The Dick Cavett Show.

Cavett has also appeared alongside Big Bird at the 1970 Emmy Awards and the Feeling Good Health Festival held in Lincoln Center in April 1975.[1]

In 1983, Cavett appeared in the "Great Muppet Look-Alike Contest" in the first issue of Muppet Magazine, paired with Kermit the Frog.
