Dimples the Dog

Dimples the Dog is a beagle who appears in the Sesame Street home video, The Alphabet Game. He and Gary Grouch are the highest scoring contestants on the Alphabet Treasure Hunt game show, and he has a penchant for playing rough with Big Bird. Dimples hails from the Puppydale Puppy Farm, though it is not known how far he lives from Sesame Street.

The puppet used for Dimples first appeared on the show during season 7 in Episode 0868, and was one of the first Muppet animals not to be made from an Anything Muppet pattern (as most animal puppets were originally made from). Dimples also made a background appearance in the "Rainbow Connection" finale of The Muppet Movie.
