SCENE 1 Gordon plays a trick on Mr. Hooper as he greets the viewer, and observes the many people playing games on Sesame Street today. When Gordon joins a game of marbles with a couple of kids, Big Bird asks if he can join. Since he's so tall, he moves the marbles with his foot, which only spoils the game. Next, Big Bird tries jump-roping with Susan, Benjamin, and Troy, but gets tangled in the rope; Susan points out that he’s too tall for the rope to go over him. Bob invites Big Bird to play “Follow the Leader” with him and some kids, but Big Bird is too tall to fit under the garage steps. He gets very upset and starts to cry since it seems like he can't play in anybody's games. Gordon suggests a game of basketball, and suddenly he and Bob both want Big Bird on their team. Big Bird feels a lot better after blocking Bob's attempts at making a basket: "I'm a regular Arnold Palmer! A regular Bobby Orr."
