Picture Segment Description

0314b

SCENE 1 Gordon hears various noises nearby, and discovers that Big Bird has a sound machine. It can produce any kind of sound; after you guess what it is, a picture of the thing appears on the front of the contraption. Gordon successfully guesses the sound of a rooster, a typewriter, and others. Big Bird wants to test how smart Gordon is by playing several sounds at once, which results in the sound of glass breaking and junk clattering. Gordon can't figure it out, but Big Bird knows: “It was the sound of my machine breaking.” A picture of the broken machine pops up on the front, confirming Big Bird's guess.
