Picture Segment Description SCENE 1 In the wee hours of the morning, Bob goes to his open window and invites the viewer to identify the sounds of the city. They include the sanitation men picking up the trash (which Oscar noisily complains about), Gordon and Susan leaving in their Volkswagen Beetle, Big Bird greeting the morning birds, David opening Hooper's Store below, and Maria playing her harmonica. Finally, Bob's alarm clock goes off and he gets ready to start the day. Cartoon A cat makes noise with a telephone, typewriter, trumpet, and piano. When the cat leaves, the devices come to life, and when he comes back, they all sound at once, frightening the cat.
