Phyllis George
Phyllis George (1949-2020) was a TV personality and the 1971 Miss America. She was the guest star on The Muppet Show episode 412.
After her Miss America win made her a celebrity, George had a varied TV career, becoming one of the first women sportscasters when CBS signed her to The NFL Today in 1974. Concurrent with that gig, she was a co-host on the syndicated Candid Camera. She had a brief stint as an anchor on CBS Morning News in 1985.
