DIANE COYLE
Diane Coyle runs the consultancy Enlightenment Economics, is a member of the Competition Commission, and the author of several books. She was previously economics editor of The Independent and worked at the UK Treasury and in the private sector as an economist.
MARGARET DOYLE
Margaret Doyle writes for Global Agenda, The Economist's daily news service on Economist.com. She joined The Economist from The Daily Telegraph. Before becoming a journalist she worked between 1990 and 1995 as a management consultant at McKinsey & Company, where she specialised in financial institutions.
FELIPE FERNÁNDEZ-ARMESTO
Felipe Fernández-Armesto is a professorial fellow of Queen Mary, University of London, where he teaches history and geography. He has also been a member of the Faculty of Modern History at Oxford since 1983. His work has been published in 22 languages.
DAVID WALKER
David Walker is a professional journalist who writes for The Guardian and was formerly chief leader writer of The Independent. He writes and lectures extensively on housing, health, and public management issues and is an honorary member of the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy.
