Miss Great Britain has been stripped of her title after admitting she dated one of the judges before winning.

Danielle Lloyd will no longer hold the crown after she revealed the relationship with footballer Teddy Sheringham in a magazine interview.

She reportedly reminisces in Eve about Mr Sheringham buying her a £7,000 pair of Jimmy Choo shoes last Christmas.

It was previously believed the couple got together only after Lloyd had won the crown in February this year.

Organisers are also upset after publicity for the next edition of Playboy magazine revealed that Lloyd, 22, from Liverpool, would be appearing topless.

A statement on the Miss Great Britain website reads: "Following recent claims in the press and magazines and the publicity given on the Playboy website for their next issue, we have sadly decided to strip Danielle Lloyd of her title as Miss Great Britain 2006 effective immediately.

"We are very sad that this action has been necessary and we wish her the best for the future."

Organisers are currently working to find a replacement.
