Substitute Chris Palmer rescued a point for Burton at Bradford.
The Bantams took the lead just before half-time when on-loan Stoke defender Andrew Davies hit home a stunning 25-yard free-kick.
Davies almost grabbed a second but his header was turned onto the post by Brewers goalkeeper Ross Atkins.
But the Brewers had a point when Palmer's cross found its way into the net thanks to team-mate Adi Yussuf's presence at the far post.

Parkinson takes heart from draw
"It's a bad one to take but it's a cruel game is football and little bits of details on the ball cost us.
"The effort of the lads today although I couldn't fault.
"We've got to take heart from the way were playing and the positions were getting to, but all in all I couldn't ask for more."
