Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has won the Premier League's manager of the month award for September, with midfielder Cesc Fabregas named best player.

Wenger picks up his ninth monthly award as Gunners boss after leading his side to four wins out of four in the month.

Spaniard Fabregas, 20, scored three times in that period as Arsenal beat Portsmouth, Tottenham, Derby and West Ham to go top of the Premier League.

Fabregas wins his second award after also claiming the prize in January.

Fabregas has been in stunning form for the Gunners all season, with seven goals in total as they have gone unbeaten in their first 13 games.

Wenger, searching for his fourth Premier League title, has seen Arsenal go two points clear of Manchester United in second, with a game in hand.
