High on Fire Cancel Tour, Matt Pike Entering Rehab

Last week, stoner metal icons Sleep canceled their slot at the Primavera festival at last minute, when the band's guitarist Matt Pike was taken to the hospital. Now, Pike's other band High on Fire have canceled their summer-long slot on the touring Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival. And with the cancellation comes news that Pike will "enter treatment for alcohol rehabilitation," according to a press release.
All of High on Fire's upcoming tour dates have been postponed "indefinitely as Pike takes the necessary steps towards regaining his health," the press release says. The band released their latest album, De Vermis Mysteriis, in April. The list of canceled dates is below.
Still confirmed for this summer, however, is Southern Lord's reissue of High on Fire's 2000 debut The Art of Self Defense. The remastered album is out July 31 complete with the trio's 1999 demo recording, two 7" tracks from 2001, and a 48-page booklet.
