Bunta
- "Bunta is a poison. My sister and I were taught to use it in hunting…"
- ―Osha Aniseya telling the Jedi abount bunta[1]
Bunta was a light, green, glowy, poisonous[1] elixir made from the[2] yellow[3] leaves of a bunta tree, which grew on the planet Brendok, and other ingredients to create a deadly cocktail. When distilled, the poison would only last for a short period of time. The Brendok coven twins Mae-ho Aniseya and Verosha Aniseya were taught to use it for hunting[1] during winter and use bow and arrows for the summer.[3]
In 132 BBY,[4] the Sith acolyte Mae used the poison created by her supplier Qimir to kill Jedi Master Torbin at the Jedi temple on[1] the world[2] Olega. After infiltrating the temple and confronting Torbin again, Mae successfully convinced Torbin to drink the poison to seek "forgiveness" from her for the incident that occured on Brendok sixteen years prior which led to the Brendok coven being destroyed.[3] Later, Osha and the rest of the Jedi discovered that Torbin was dead with Osha identifying that Torbin was poisoned by bunta leading to them finding Qimir at the local apothecary nearby.[1]
