Kalarba pirates
The Kalarba pirates were active in the galaxy during the Clone Wars between the Galactic Republic and Confederacy of Independent Systems. Like many other groups, the Kalarba pirates were supported by the confederate government, whose leader, Count Dooku, encouraged them to harass the Republic's supply lines during the war.[1] The pirates shared their name with Kalarba, an astronomical object in the Mid Rim Territories.[2]
Behind the scenes[]
The Kalarba pirates were mentioned in the current Star Wars canon in Rise of the Separatists, a 2019 supplement to Fantasy Flight Games' series of Star Wars Roleplaying products.[1] The pirates were originally introduced in the Star Wars Legends continuity via the 2008 novel The Clone Wars: Wild Space written by Karen Miller.[3]
