Lula Sooger was a human female and the adopted daughter of the masseuse Lexo Sooger, who found her as a baby in a cargo container in an alley. He searched for her parents, but could find no trace of them; thus the Dor Namethian kept and raised the child as his own. Despite his lack of knowledge how to care for humans and his dislike of them, Lexo adopted and raised Lula with love and care, losing much of his initial dislike of humans. At the age of 13, she worked as an indentured servant at the fathier stables on Cantonica. At some point she was kidnapped by the gangster Sturg Ganna.[1]
Sturg desired to have Lexo become an informant for him and used Lula as his leverage though he told Lexo he would allow him to see her after a few jobs, the gangster intended to keep Lula as a slave even if her adoptive father had complied. Lula was kept in a cell in the lower levels of Ganna's private suite below ground in the Canto Casino and Racetrack. Lexo was able to follow a scent trail of Corwindyl paste Lula had left to confirm where Ganna had taken her.[1]
