Trident group two

Trident group two was a starfighter squadron of five droid tri-fighters that served the Confederacy of Independent Systems during the Clone Wars against the Galactic Republic. During the Battle of Sullust[1] in 20 BBY,[2] Trident group two was part of the Separatist fleet led by the Sith apprentice Asajj Ventress. Preparing to attack, Trident group two pulled alongside the Banshee, Ventress's personal starfighter, to receive orders. After giving instructions to Trident group one, Ventress sent the droid fighters of Trident group two to target the Venator-class Star Destroyer Resolute, ordering them to hit the vessel's port shield generators. Trident group two succeeded in their attack run, and Ventress's forces were able to destroy the Resolute. However, despite this triumph, the Republic ultimately emerged victorious in the battle.[1]
