Synopsis
On a newly-discovered planet, Meteorfire's hunt for alien life reaches fruition with the discovery of an alien. His partner Cosmos is attacked by their leader as the intro begins for... Alien Hunt! With Meteorfire! And Cosmos!
In the sickbay, Bumblebee has detected another of Windblade's psychic shards on Luna 3, the forbidden moon. Luckily, Chromia knows a 'bot who can break him in. Following her directions to a beat-up old RV, he finds an Autobot sitting sulkily, watching reruns of Alien Hunt! while chugging mugs of Energon. The bot mourns the loss of his partner as he watches a rerun of her abduction. He turns off the screen as Bumblebee enters, the scout becoming starstruck as he realizes he is speaking with Meteorfire, the star of Alien Hunt!. Explaining his circumstances, Meteorfire signs a mug and gives it to Bumblebee, who loses the starstruck vibe enough to recruit him to infiltrate Luna 3. The former TV star agrees, using this as an opportunity to film a new episode for his show.
Disabling the quarantine generator, Meteorfire makes his way inside the shield with Bumblebee close behind. Although Bumblebee tracks Windblade's shard to the moon's dark side, Meteorfire disregards this in favour of scouting out the old communications hub, to Bumblebee's exasperation. Meteorfire plays back a recording of the previous inhabitants of the station which abruptly ends, then an apparition of Shockwave reaches from the screen, causing Bumblebee to flee the building in terror. Outside, he is greeted by a similar image of Blurr before coming under attack by phantom Seekers. Returning fire, Bumblebee manages to hit a few of the Seekers—and one of Meteorfire's drones—before they disappear.
As they make their way closer to Windblade, Meteorfire alerts Bumblebee that his body is possessed. After twisting his own head backwards, Meteorfire behind attacking Bumblebee, all the while giving instructions on how to avoid his attacks. Finally Bee gives him a jolt and frees him from the spirits that had possessed him. They find Windblade's shard in what Meteorfire dubs a obicular-class parasitic entity, explaining its telepathic abilities were responsible for his prior possession and the visions of Bumblebee's fears. Meteorfire determines the only way to get close is to approach it without fear. Although he puts on a brave face, Meteorfire's fear overtakes him when the entity surprises him and begins consuming him. Charging up with multiverse energy, Bumblebee kills the alien with a single punch. This frees Windblade's psychic shard, which he collects.
Another surprise comes when Cosmos emerges alive from the wreckage, reuniting her with an overjoyed Meteorfire. As it turns out, the entity took Cosmos prisoner so she could take it to Cybertron so it could feed off the whole planet, but she was able to force it to crash on Luna 3. Later at Maccadam's, Hot Rod, Arcee and Grimlock watch the new episode of Alien Hunt! and are overjoyed it's back on the air.

Notes
Continuity notes
- By the end of this episode, 40% of Windblade's scattered mind has been gathered.
- Meteorfire's collection of alien junk includes a cave monster from "The Journey", a picture of the "horse" from "Sabotage", a picture of unspace, the corpse of a Quintesson Prosecutor, and the head of one of the insect aliens from the opening flashback of "The Citizen". Most notable among the collection are the heads of the Judge of their universe, including Starscream, confirming his death in "The End Of The Universe IV".
- The entity haunts Bumblebee with ghostly images of several dead 'bots. The first to appear is Shockwave, who died trying to corrupt the AllSpark in "Battle For Cybertron IV". The second is Blurr, who died from the Rust Plague epidemic on Velocitron way back in "Terminal Velocity". The rest are Seekers, presumably those who were killed by Starscream in "I Am The Allspark".
Transformers references
- Cosmos is a new female version of the Autobot UFO from Generation 1. Her design is based off the Legends Class toy mold introduced in Generations but with the mouth plate replaced with a visible mouth and the single visor substituted with a pair of separate optics.
Real-world references
- Meteorfire's characterization is a loving parody of the late, great Steve Irwin.
- While he is (largely) possessed, Meteorfire's head turns 180 degrees, in reference to The Exorcist.
Other trivia
- The Cybertronian text that appears on the HUD of Meteorfire's camera reads "DRODUYDEF SUKMAR"
- Meteorfire signs the mug he's drinking from as "MFIRE".
- Surprisingly, Starscream isn't one of the Seeker ghosts to appear.
Animation and technical errors
- Meteorfire's visor disappears a few times in the episode.
- Arcee's backpack is at a higher position in this episode, mainly to prevent it from clipping through her seat.
