It's TREASON, then!

Emperor Palpatine is the feared master of the merciless Darth Vader and a follower of the Dark Side of the Force, being a Sith Master. Much hate rages inside him, which only makes him stronger... perhaps even more than the Jedi.

Whether he's heard the Tragedy of Darth Plagueis the Wise is not a tale this wiki would tell you.

Fiction

Star Wars Transformers

Palpatine rebuilt Darth Vader's body and twisted his mind to the ways of the Sith. As part of this process, the Emperor somehow used the Force to transform into an Imperial Shuttle to transport Darth Vader to the Outer Rim.[1] Once Vader's training as a Sith was complete, he set out into space to crush anyone opposing the Emperor's will.[2]

Later, Darth Vader was on a mission to crush the Rebels and bring young Luke Skywalker before the Emperor.[3] At some point, Emperor Palpatine learnt of a secret gathering of Rebels, and decided to deal with it personally using his Imperial Shuttle mech, now colored black.[4]

Ask Vector Prime

In one Lukas universe, Palpatine defeated the rebels early in the conflict, enabling him to assemble a vast stockpile of weapons. When Unicron decided to devour his universe, he added Dirge to the roster of his heralds to deal with the threat. His addition was sufficient, as Unicron was able to consume the reality, leaving it uncatalogued by the Transcendent Technomorphs. Ask Vector Prime, 19/9/2015

Toys

Star Wars Transformers

Everything that has transpired has done so according to my... *looks down at self, winces*... design.

  • Emperor Palpatine / Imperial Shuttle (2007)
    • Accessories: Emperor Palpatine figure, wings (left & right), tail fin/shield, missile launcher, lightsaber/missile
Emperor Palpatine's vehicle transforms from an Imperial Shuttle to a giant mech in his image. The shuttle's tail fin can be fitted on his arm as a shield, while Palpatine's red lightsaber can be either held on its own or fired from a missile launcher that can be used as a gun in robot mode. His wings detach from his shoulders and reattach on his waist to emulate the character's cloak. Like all Star Wars Transformers toys, the toy includes a mini-figure of Emperor Palpatine himself to pilot the shuttle.

Crossovers

REDECOES!!! UNLIMITED REDECOES!!! ...oh, wait, just the one? Dang.

  • Emperor Palpatine to Imperial Shuttle (2008)
    • Accessories: Wings (left & right), tail fin/shield, missile launcher, lightsaber/missile
A black redeco of the earlier toy, designed to better resemble Palpatine himself when in robot mode. Released under the Crossovers banner, this version did not include the Emperor Palpatine mini-figure. This version was released at the tail end of the initial Star Wars Crossovers line, shortly before the line was rebranded to bring focus to the Clone Wars animated film and TV series. As a result, it saw incredibly poor distribution.

Notes

  • Palpatine was previously voiced by Clive Revill in the original theatrical release of The Empire Strikes Back, while he is voiced by Tim Curry in later Clone Wars seasons and Trevor Devall in all the Lego Star Wars animated projects.
