Reverend James Austen1

Reverend James Austen was born in 1765.1 He was the son of Reverend George Austen and Cassandra Leigh.1 He married, firstly, Anne Mathew, daughter of Maj.-Gen. Edward Mathew and Lady Jane Bertie, in 1792.1 He married, secondly, Mary Lloyd on 17 January 1797.1,2 He died on 13 December 1819.1,2
He was Rector at Steventon, Hampshire, England.2 He graduated from St. John's College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1788 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)2 He gained the rank of Chaplain in the 85th Foot.2

Reverend Henry Thomas Austen was born in 1771.1 He was the son of Reverend George Austen and Cassandra Leigh.1 He married, firstly, Elizabeth Hancock, daughter of Tysoe Saul Hancock and Philadelphia Austen, in 1797.1 He married, secondly, Eleanor Jackson, daughter of Henry Jackson, in 1820.2 He died in 1850.1
He graduated from St. John's College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1796 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)2 He gained the rank of Captain in 1797 in the Oxforshire Militia.2 He was Rector in 1820 at Steventon, Hampshire, England.2

Admiral Charles John Austen was born in 1779.1 He was the son of Reverend George Austen and Cassandra Leigh.1 He married, firstly, Frances Fitzwilliam Palmer, daughter of John Grove Palmer and Dorothy Ball, in 1807.2 He married, secondly, Harriet Abel Palmer, daughter of John Grove Palmer and Dorothy Ball, on 7 August 1820 at Old St. Pancras Church, St. Pancras, London, EnglandG.3 He died in 1852.1
He was educated at Royal Naval Academy, Portsmouth, Hampshire, EnglandG.4 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1840.3 He gained the rank of Rear-Admiral in 1846.3 He was Commander-in-Chief of the East Indies and China Station between 1850 and 1852.4

Admiral Sir Francis William Austen1

Admiral Sir Francis William Austen was born in 1774.1 He was the son of Reverend George Austen and Cassandra Leigh.1 He married, firstly, Mary Gibson, daughter of John Gibson, on 24 July 1806.1 He married, secondly, Martha Lloyd, daughter of Reverend Noyes Lloyd, in 1828.1 He died in 1865.1
He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of the Bath (G.C.B.) in 1860.2 He gained the rank of Admiral of the Fleet in 1863 in the Royal Navy.2
He had 9 other children by his first wife.1
