Brig.-Gen. Francis Lyon1

Brig.-Gen. Francis Lyon was born in 1867.2 He was the son of Colonel Francis Lyon and Flora Annesley.1,2 He married Winifred Jane Borwick, daughter of Joseph Cooksey Borwick and Ellen Elizabeth Oldroyd, on 18 August 1910.1 He died on 21 February 1953.1
He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.)1 He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.)1 He was appointed Commander, Royal Victorian Order (C.V.O.)2 He gained the rank of Brigadier-General in the Royal Artillery.1 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.)1 He gained the rank of Colonel in the Royal Field Artillery.2
