He gained the title of 4th Duke Gandolfi in 1938.1 He was educated at Ampleforth College, Ampleforth, Yorkshire, England.3 He was educated at Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.3 He gained the rank of 2nd Lieutenant in the King's Own Scottish Borderers.3 He was with the Foreign Office between 1958 and 1967.3
