Richard Long was the son of Edmund Long and Rachel Coxwell.1 He married, firstly, Mary Miles, daughter of William Miles, circa 1620.1 He married, secondly, Susanna Clerke on 25 June 1631 at St. Dunstan's-in-the-West Church, London, EnglandG.1 He died on 17 April 1639 at Lyneham, Wiltshire, EnglandG.1
