Lt.-Col. Richard Murray was born on 19 October 1787.1 He was the son of Lord Henry Murray and Eliza Kent.1 He married, firstly, Catherine Bacon, daughter of John Joseph Bacon and Ann Cosnahan, on 1 June 1811.1 He married, secondly, Margaret Tennison, daughter of William Tennison, in 1819.2 He died on 16 October 1843 at age 55 at Mount Murray, Isle of ManG.2,3

General Sir John Oswald1

General Sir John Oswald was born on 2 October 1771 at Dunnikier, Fife, Scotland.2 He was the son of James Townsend Oswald.3 He married Charlotte Murray-Aynsley, daughter of Very Rev. Lord Charles Murray-Aynsley and Alicia Mitford, on 28 January 1812.1 He married, secondly, Emily Jane Murray, daughter of Lord Henry Murray and Eliza Kent, in October 1829.2 He died on 6 June 1840 at age 68.1
     He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.) on 4 June 1815.2 He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of the Bath (G.C.B.) in 1824.1 He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of St. Michael and St. George (G.C.M.G.) in 1838.4
