Pages Needing Example Context - TV Tropes

There are Zero-Context Examples (ZCEs), and then there are these. The kind where there are so many of them, you could put a lot of advertising at the bottom of each page that has them. These are the pages so polluted by ZCEs, they need some big-time Wiki Magic Love.

If you find a page with unexplained ZCEs, you can do the following:

If you are familiar with the work and have the time, you can just give them context yourself. If you don't have the time:
Place it below to enlist assistance in giving them context.
Take it to the Fixing Zero Context Examples project thread.
"Comment out" the ZCEs by entering the Edit screen and placing the %% markup in front of them in place of the bullet (*). Please note that this makes it so the text following it is only visible in the Edit screen, invisible on the main page of the trope or work. Because this method succeeds more in brushing the problem under the rug than actually solving it, please consider methods 1-3 before resorting to this. If you must do this, move it to the "Commented Out" folder when you're done so someone else can give it the attention it deserves.

Once you've corrected the problems (or if you find a description that Magic seems to have already repaired), please remove the link from this list and remove the link to here from that page, if present. In general, please remember to delete items from these lists as you complete them or find they are completed.

Bag of Kidnapping: Some of the examples are "X captured Y" with no mention of bags.
Barefoot Cartoon Animal: Most of the examples have been commented out, to the point where some folders are simply empty.
Beta Couple
Big Bad: Most of the examples list the name of the Big Bad, or, in character pages, simply state that the character is "the main antagonist of the series" (often with that exact wording), but without bothering to explain what the character is doing to cause the conflict.
Big Ball of Violence: Many examples are something along the lines of "X and Y get into one" without mentioning them being obscured by smoke or dust clouds.
Big Good: Similar problem with Big Bad.
Blonde, Brunette, Redhead
Braids of Action
Break Up Song: Sorted into folders, but doesn't elaborate on what each song actually is.
Bright Castle
Bumbling Dad
Car Song: The songs are about cars, but what do they say and how?
Casino Park
Cheerful Child: Many of the examples have been commented out due to no context.

Concept Art Gallery: Needs to explain where the gallery is, how pieces are unlocked, and what it shows. Art books might be a separate trope.

Cute Kitten: Sometimes the trope is potentially wicked as "'a man is sitting on a bench or chair' is a trope" example. Some examples have no context why the cats or kittens in the works are related to cuteness.

Deranged Animation: Most examples simply say that the work uses the style without saying how that is, at most saying that the work looks like it was made under the influence.
Detective Animal: About half of the examples have been hidden.
Dope Slap: Too many examples are "character does this" or "character gets this" or "X does this to Y" without saying what "this" is.
Eat My Dust: Some examples are "Character says this" without saying what "this" is.
Edutainment Show: Needs more explanations are to what the shows are about, who they're aimed at, and what topics they specifically teach.
Everyone Loves Blondes
Evil Overlooker: Some examples have been commented out due to no context.
Fake-Out Opening: Explain the plot and tone of the work, and what the beginning sets it up as.
Fiction 500: Various examples don't have context, or simply compares them to other characters without any in-universe context for them to apply.

Four Legs Good, Two Legs Better: The trope is about anthropomorphic characters within particular works walking on either four or two legs and how walking on two legs is generally a shorthand for more human-like characters. However, many of the examples simply state that a certain character or characters walk on two legs, without any explanation of the significance of this within the work.

Something about a Rose - Many of the examples are just a character and the work that they come from, without anything other than that. Still others are barely better, just saying something like "This character has a rose between his teeth" and nothing else.
"Somewhere" Song: Many of the examples just list a song title and work. Who's singing the song, where do they want to go, and why?
Speaking in Panels: All 13 examples are zero-context, merely mentioning when it happens but not how.
