- The Iron Giant became The Boy and the Iron Giant.
- Kubo and the Two Strings became Kubo: The Brave Samurai.
- Ruby Gillman, Teenage Kraken became "Rosa — Det vilde søuhyre" (Rosa — The Wild Sea Monster).
- Spirited Away is called "Chihiro og Heksene" (Chihiro and The Witches).
- Tangled was changed to "To på Flugt: Et Hårrejsende Eventyr" (Two on the Run: A Hair-Rising Fairy Tale/Adventure). The subtitle is probably a call-back to the original title.
- Winnie-the-Pooh is called "Peter Plys".

Caddyshack became "Røven Fuld af Penge", which means, translated to its nearest English equivalent, "An Assload of Cash". Stripes was "Røven af Fjerde Division", "The Ass of Fourth Platoon" and Meatballs was "Med Røven i Vandskorpen", "With the Ass in the Edge of the Water", which is a danish idiom meaning something like "In a tricky situation".

Literature
- The original Swedish title of Simona Ahrnstedt's debut novel, Överenskommelser, can be translated into "Agreements" or "Understandings". But the Danish title, "Aegtepagten", can be translated as "The marriage pact". Which is rather close to being a literal translation, actually.
- Happened quite often to early Stephen King books and their subsequent movie adaptations.
- The Shining was translated to "Ondskabens hotel" which translates to "Hotel of Evil".
- 'Salem's Lot became "De Dødes By" which translates to "City of the Dead".
- It became "Det Onde" which translates to "The Evil". Notably It(2017) kept its original English title while the 1990 adaptation did not.
Live-Action TV
- Fawlty Towers was released in Denmark under the title "Halløj på badehotellet", roughly "Hello, Seaside Hotel".
Western Animation
- Hailey's On It! became Haileys liste (Hailey's List).
- Wow! Wow! Wubbzy! became Wubbzy og hans venner (Wubbzy and His Friends).
