Tropes:

• Actually a Good Idea: You want to do what? ...y'know, come to think of it, that might work.
• Admiring the Abomination: I know you could end my life with one swipe of your tail, but just look at how magnificent that tail is. Those spikes!
• Appeal to Flattery: I knew most people would be too dumb to get this idea, so that's why I brought it directly to you.
• Arson, Murder, and Admiration: You've done some things that absolutely disgust me... you're amazing!
• Arson, Murder, and Lifesaving: You've done some things that absolutely disgust me, but you also did one thing that deserves praise.
• Baddie Flattery: Good job getting through my Mooks, my elite corps, and my death traps! I knew you could do it.
• Chew-Out Fake-Out: You deserve the scolding of a lifetime, because what what you did... was freaking amazing! Great job!
• Combat Compliment: Nice punch you gave me.
• Compliment Backfire: Why are you offended by my praise?
• Compliment Fishing: I meant to write a better description here, but I'm just not good at this sort of thing. Do you think it's maybe... just a little bit... okay?
• Dismissing a Compliment: I know your praise isn't sincere, so knock it off.
• Dispense with the Pleasantries: Don't bow and scrape. We need to get down to business.
• Dogs Love Being Praised: Who's a good boy? I'm a good boy!
• Half-Baked Niceness: I really admire the way you still have both eyes and most of your teeth.
• I Have Just One Thing to Say: ...you were great.
• I'll Take That as a Compliment: Not sure if that was a compliment or an insult, but thanks.
• Insult Backfire: You think I'm the scum of the earth?! Oh, thank you!
• It Has Been an Honor: Let me use my Last Words to tell you how much I appreciate you, my friend.
• Like a God to Me: Admiring someone enough to break out the Blasphemous Praise.
• Not Bad: I don't think much of you, but I have to say you did okay.
• The One Thing I Don't Hate About You: I don't like you at all, though I sort of like how you.. organize things?
• Outhumbling Each Other: You're the best! What? Me too? Thanks, but you're better. No you're better.
• Patrick Stewart Speech: Human beings are awesome.
• Professional Butt-Kisser: Can I polish your boots again, sir? You have the best taste in footwear.
• Promotion, Not Punishment: What you did was so crazy, so reckless, so out of line it's going to advance your career instead of ending it.
• Sexiness Score: Ranking, rating or scoring a character's attractiveness and sexual desirability.
• So Proud of You: Someone Bob holds in high regard tells him that she admires and appreciates what he's done.
• Stealth Insult: Your previous employer and all your coworkers are thrilled that you've applied for this job. They say I would be lucky to get you to work for me.
• A Success, by Comparison: Bob failed, but Alice thinks he deserves some points just for trying.
• Yes-Man: You are a good boss, sir! You can do no wrong, sir! I will follow your commands no matter what, sir!
• You Are a Credit to Your Race: You make other Tropers proud. Pardon me if that sounds a little racist.
• You Are Better than You Think You Are: You don't suck. You're awesome.
• You Are Not Alone: Don't give up. We're all here with you.
• You Got Guts: You're so courageous, it's impressive!
• Your Approval Fills Me with Shame: That horrible thing you just did was glorious! It warms the cold, cold heart of an evildoer such as myself. No need to be ashamed.
