- "Dinner Delivery" Polly invites all her friends to her house to eat. She attempts to teach them proper table manners, but they all would rather goof off, eventually culminating in them accidentally breaking Polly's new fancy dishes. Polly is heartbroken and distraught, and demands everyone leave the house, before she breaks down into a fit of tears and sobs. This, and hearing Checkery blame herself for the whole ordeal is heartbreaking.
- "A Surprise For Gosha" Checkery and friends decide to renovate Gosha's home as a birthday gift while he's absent, removing all the algae and installing water slides. When Gosha returns, he is devastated to see what happened to his home. He tells everyone what might be gross to them is home to him, before bursting into tears. Thankfully, everything is set right. They do keep the waterslides at Gosha's request, however.
- "A Dream in Black and White" Checkery accidentally breaks a jar of jelly that Polly gifted her, prompting the latter to ask the former to her face why she isn't like everyone else. After experiencing a nightmare where everyone is indeed the same and Checkery is no longer on the island because of this, Polly quickly has a change of heart. The scene where she apologizes to Checkery after the fact is an emotional one.
- "Hopping Home" Polly and Rodion try to (mostly without success) teach Pasha to be more serious so he can make a rowdy Petya listen to him. Later, in a scene that's rather difficult to watch, Pasha scares and acts mean to Petya while trying to be serious with him, and makes him cry. Upon realizing he only scared Petya with his actions, Pasha profusely apologizes to his little brother, nearly brought to tears himself.
