Inhuman OS - TV Tropes
- ️Fri Jul 21 2023
A place to dread. A place to die.
Why is it that you are here?
To suffer? To overcome?
Welcome to your worst nightmare.
Inhuman OS, note or Inhuman for short, was an upcoming Friday Night Funkin' Game Mod by Hazard24, Count Nightshade
, and Lake08, which serves as a Prequel to the QT Mod.
This mod forgoes the typical back and fourth rap battles of vanilla Friday Night Funkin' and instead uses a more traditional gameplay style of the rhythm game genre where notes represent the instrumentals. While the signature rapping is still there in some songs, only one person sings at a time instead of two. The addendum is that the notes, both colored and gray, move around to the beat, either to create spectacles or to disorient the player.
You can see the trailer here, and one of the songs, "Operator," here.
On August 3rd, 2024, Hazard24 announced that the mod ceased development due to feature creep and poor planning. However, there is a revival project being worked on by Edwhak and AnbyFox.
Not to be mistaken by the webcomic nor the super-powered race from the Marvel Universe.
- Ascended Extra: This mod stars the characters mentioned in the QT Mod's HorrorSecret files, if the livestreams Hazard24 occasionally does in her Discord server is any indication.
- Contrasting Sequel Main Character: Prequel, rather. The Discord streams and Hazard's messages reveal that we are playing as Ashley, a young woman who, unlike Boyfriend, is a depressed Shrinking Violet.
- Interface Screw: Unlike the original game and most of its mods, the arrows, both colored and gray, move around the screen in the songs instead of staying stationary, akin to In the Galaxy. The engine it was built in (a heavily modified Psych engine called Inhuman engine) lets you create your own modcharts like "Operator" and "Interlope" as seen here
(Warning: flashing lights).
- Unseen No More: As seen in the trailer, Ashley finally appears in the flesh after being The Ghost in the QT Mod.
