A new challenger has appeared!
"Well, I guess I'll wait here for some more challengers. Wonder who it'll be this time."
—DXL at the beginning of each fight
DXL's 1v1 Fight Series is a series of collaborative animations hosted by DestroyerXL44note on Scratch. It is best described as an animated Play-by-Post Game, with participants taking turns animating their character's actions and adding them via Scratch's "remix" feature.
Set in the Dashlands of Geometry Dash, each collaboration features a fight between the Author Avatar DXL and an Original Character by whoever else is participating. All parts in the series can be viewed on the remix trees for its first and second
versions.
The series contains examples of:
- Adaptation Amalgamation: The second version of the starter project features a new version of DXL that, according to the character's Toyhouse profile, is meant to be a combination of both the Project Arrhythmia and Geometry Dash Episodes versions of him. He's closer to the Project Arrhythmia version visually and has more of its abilities, but keeps the GDE version's personality.
- Anthropomorphic Food: One of the challengers is Taco, who is a living taco.
- Ash Face: Sean charges up a giant piece of bacon for a fire attack, which ends up exploding and leaving ash on his face.
- Beam Spam: DXL attempts this in the fight versus Cookiez, using a barrage of beams instead of a standard single beam attack. Cookiez asks him what it does differently, only for DXL to respond that it just looks cool.
- Breaking the Fourth Wall: In "DXL vs Nameless Cube", Nameless Cube starts causing the screen to crack when he mentions that someone is controlling DXL's every move. He then goes on to intentionally crack it more this way so that nobody can win the fight.
- Captain Obvious: All DXL can say about Hoboku, a giant who's massive in comparison to his square body, is that he's "quite big".
- Excuse Plot: There's not much reason for the fights to be happening other than DXL simply wanting to fight against people. Each project starts with him waiting for someone to challenge him to a fight.
- Fire-Breathing Weapon: Terra uses the "T.B.", described as a flamethrower in the loading screen tips, for the opening attack in her fight. It shoots a concentrated blast of fire.
- Hammered into the Ground: Armored DXL's "Heavy Impact Dash" attack has him teleport high into the sky and dash directly downwards on an opponent to trap them in the ground.
- Hint System: The fake "loading screen" in the intro to every fight features hints styled after those in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. They feature small notes about DXL's abilities, other "stages" (that aren't ever shown in fights), and some blank hints on the opponent meant to be filled out by participants.
- Instantly Proven Wrong: DXL attempts to bury Nameless Cube in the ground, only for the opponent to escape before he can even finish explaining how he's stuck.
DXL: You're buried directly in front of the line of fire for that portal-

DXL: oh
- Shout-Out:
- The intro is styled after the Versus Character Splash in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
- Cookiez has abilities based on those of Kirby, and is able to get a Copy Ability of DXL that matches his powers.
- A loading screen tip calls the Spike Mountains "a pretty good place to make a Celeste reference".
- In his fight, Lukey gains a glowing eye like Sans and uses a Gaster Blaster as an attack after his hammer gets removed.
- DXL curses with the word "peck" during the fight with Comic.
- Squashed Flat: In the fight against Lukey, DXL gets squished completely flat by his hammer. He gets back to normal off-screen.
- Stylistic Suck: BlackCat626 appears in his fight as "SkribblCat", a haphazard doodle that is intentionally low quality.
- Super Move Portrait Attack: A cutout of DXL appears across the center of the screen right before he uses either the Heavy Impact Dash or Hyperslash Elite attacks.
- Thinking Up Portals: Nameless Cube is able to create portals. He uses this to take the fight to other places and to add DXL's laser attacks to his own arsenal.
- Tornado Move: In both of his fights, Cube 107 attacks by spinning into a miniature tornado.
- Weaponized Headgear: Sean uses his jester hat to launch a barrage of diamonds for an attack.
- Wrap Around: DXL does this in the fight against Nameless Cube to get behind him and throw him into a portal.
