It's mighty time!
Mighty Express is a Preschool Show for Netflix, that started on September 22, 2020. It is a Canadian production by Spin Master Entertainment, the same company behind PAW Patrol, and from the mind of PAW Patrol's creator Keith Chapman. The show also airs on CBC Kids in its home country of Canada.
Set in a world where adults don't exist, in the fictional community of Tracksville, children run all the stations and businesses with sentient train engines who form the Mighty Express. Each episode has the engines learn valuable lessons and ensure every vehicle and kid alike will live together in unity.
A second season was released on February 2, 2021, followed by a a third season on April 13, 2021 and a fourth season on July 27, 2021.
Mighty Tropes:
- Accidental Ventriloquism: In "Clank!", Milo and Nico are stuck dangling from the bottom of a bridge. When they call for help, Freight Nate, coming towards the bridge, thinks Goaty is the one who spoke at first.
- Alliterative Name: Most of the Mighty Express trains have one- Mechanic Milo, Build-It Brock, Farmer Faye, Rescue Red, Peoplemover Penny, and Mandy Mail. The special Train Trouble also gives us a human example in Sneaky Stella.
- Alliterative Title: “Liza Live”, “The Toppling Tower”, “Delivery Dilemma”, “Sticky Situation”, “Diesel’s Doghouse Delivery”, “Mighty Milo”, “Tub Time”, “Painting Pandemonium”, and the special Train Trouble have these.
- The Baby of the Bunch: Flicker, Rescue Red’s younger brother and the youngest member of the squad.
- Birthday Episode: “Piggies Rock The House” is Jaden’s.
- Camp Wackyname: The local camp is called Camp Itchiknee (“itchy knee”).
- Character Action Title: “Milo Reaches For The Stars”.
- Christmas Special: "A Mighty Christmas".
- Quarter Hour Short: Every episode is 14 minutes long. Averted as of Season 4 when it switched to Two Shorts.

- “Liza Live”, the main plot of which involves Milo delivering Liza’s drum set.
- “Oink-A-Palooza” has the Popstar Piggies throwing a concert… on the hottest day of the year.
- “Sing Out Proud” has Faye trying to put on a concert, only to lose her voice.
- Ghost Train: Flicker dresses up as one for Halloween in “Freight Nate’s Fright Night”.

- Lions and Tigers and Humans... Oh, My!: Tracksville is inhabited by sentient trains, human children, and even a few Funny Animals such as the Popstar Piggies.

- “How The Ball Bounces” has Flicker trying to deal with a shipment of very bouncy beach balls.
- “Pop Stars” involves Farmer Faye delivering popcorn.
- “The Donutty Day” was a very nutty day.
- The pun in “Balloon Hullabaloo” is fairly self-evident.
- “Rocket & Roll”, on a booster rocket and rock ‘n’ roll music.
- “Freight Nate’s Achoo-choo” is a really bad one spawned by a Pepper Sneeze.
- “Knight Time” has Nate and Nico dealing with an old suit of armor.
- “Piggies Rock The House” has the Popstar Piggies causing problems with a bouncy house.
- “The Domino Effect” has Milo and Nico dealing with literal dominoes.
- The plot of “Monkey Wrench” involves a Mischief-Making Monkey.
- “A Beary Special Picnic” has another obvious one.
- “Can Do!” involves recycling cans.
