The Washington-Saratoga-Warren-Hamilton-Essex Board of Cooperative Educational Services (WSWHE BOCES) serves 31 school districts in a five-county region. The BOCES Board of Education, a governing board made up of representatives from component school districts, is responsible for the oversight of curricular, financial and other policy decisions. The chief executive officer of a BOCES is the District Superintendent who works closely with local school districts as a liaison/agent of the New York State Commissioner of Education.

Board Workshop

The Washington-Saratoga-Warren-Hamilton-Essex Board of Cooperative Educational Services will hold a Board Workshop on Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at 5:00 PM to review budget and strategic plan updates.

Educational leaders and stakeholders from across the region gathered on January 24 at WSWHE BOCES to discuss critical priorities for the 2025-2026 school year, including the full funding of Foundation Aid, updated graduation requirements, workforce development challenges, and the transition to zero-emission school buses.

Info Sessions & Open Houses January 2024

The WSWHE BOCES ECCA programs and CTE programs are hosting Info Sessions and Open Houses January 14, 15 and 16.

Sommarah Whitbeck - culinary student

Sommarah Whitbeck, a senior at Saratoga Springs High School, and culinary arts and hospitality student at WSWHE BOCES competed alongside members of Skidmore Dining Services, and top chefs from institutions across the Northeast and Texas in a “Chopped”-style competition on Friday, Jan. 10, 2025. The event was hosted by Skidmore College.

New York State School Districts and BOCES are required to develop a district-wide school safety plan designed to prevent or minimize the effects of serious violent incidents and emergencies and to facilitate the coordination of the district with local and county resources in the event of such incidents or emergencies.

Notice is hereby given of the annual inspection for the 2024-2025 school year.
