    Poco's Ghost Town has been released on CD a few times before (Wounded Bird Records) and once combined with the 1984 album Inamorata. Those were great releases, but now you may want to exchange your old copy with Culture Factory's remastered and limited (only 3000 copies) version. I'm impressed with the improvement in sound quality of the album.

    Front man Rusty Young & former member Paul Cotton did a good job on this recording in terms of songwriting and arrangements. It's a mix of country rock and rhythm & blues, not unlike Legend.

    This is an excellent addition to your Poco collection.

    It is my second favorite Poco Album from the revamped Poco Era where Young and Cotton dominated. Shoot for the Moon, Ghost Town and High Sierra belong in the Poco Classics. High Sierra definitely is the best instrumental written by Rusty Young and he has had many of them. It does not get five stars because the other songs are not as high quality as all of the songs in Legend but I still love the album. Unfortunately it is very hard to get a hold of at an affordable price. It also has one of the best Album-CD covers ever put on a Poco album. it is a must for a serious Poconut.

    I think this is one of POCO's best efforts and I was very happy to find it available in CD form from Amazon's trusted vendors. Once again the quality of the disk and jacket were excellent,the disk plays well with no skips or anomallies noted. I would recommend this vendor to anyone who is trying to enhance their music collection with a
    forgotten treasure like this CD, Mike.

    Eine der unbekannteren Platten von Poco, kommerziell nicht sehr erfolgreich und doch eine der Platten von Poco, auf der die Songs durchgehend hohe Qualität haben, viele Gesangssätze zu hören sind, Paul Cotton und Rusty Young in Hochform.
    Als CD nur zu Phantasiepreisen zu bekommen freue ich mich über diese Neuauflage, sogar mit Originalinnencover mit aufgedruckten Texten - halt ein bisschen klein, aber es geht um die Liebe zum Detail, die dann natürlich auch noch im Vinyllook und mit Originallabel der LP daherkommt.
    Es ist ein Pop-und Countryrockalbum. Vielleicht war dies das kommerzielle Problem? Manche Wendungen klingen vielleicht ein wenig zu britisch ( das Orchester von Ghost Town nach Alan Parsons, manche Songwendungen nach Supertramp) ? Mir egal, weil ich auch Alan Parsons- und Supertramp-Fan bin. Neben "Indian Summer", "Head Over Heels" und dem grandiosen Konzeptalbum "Blue And Grey" mein Lieblingsalbum der Band.

    レコードは持っているのだが、リマスター盤（紙ジャケ）が出ているとの情報を得たので、遅ればせながらCDに買い替えた。
    音圧は申し分なく、高音・低音共にすっきりとしたクリアなサウンドになっており、リマスターの効果が顕著に表れている。

    個人的な事だが、亡くなった弟がこのアルバムが大好きだった。特に「クライ・ノー・モア」を愛聴していた。
    当時はレコード、それをカセットテープに録音し、車のカーステレオで聴いていた。
    遠出のドライブした時などに、この曲をかけてサビの部分を二人で一緒に歌ったものである。
    振り返れば、私たち兄弟にとって、家族にとって、あの頃がいちばん幸せな時代だったかもしれない。

    名曲「ゴースト・タウン」「クライ・ノー・モア」が収められた本盤。本国アメリカではあまりヒットはしなかったようだが、なぜか日本ではヒットしたらしい。
    ポコのアルバムはベスト盤も含めて数枚持っているが、私はこのアルバムがいちばん好きである。ウェストコーストの傑作アルバム群の中に並べたとしても決してひけをとらない魅力的なアルバムだと思う。個人的な思い入れを抜きにしても、だ。
    おそらく本盤の底辺に通奏低音のように漂う哀愁、あるいはセンチメンタリズムのようなものが日本人に受けたのではないかと思う。
    確かに、このアルバムは明るい日中の日射しよりも夕陽がよく似合う。静かな雨の夜にふと聴きたくなったりする。

    懐かしい日々がふと脳裏をよぎった時、私はこのディスクを取り出して「クライ・ノー・モア」を繰り返し聴いている。

    Très bel album du groupe, tous les morceaux sont de grande qualité; un véritable travail d'orfèvre musical, et les harmonies vocales sont splendides; sans doute l'album qui se rapproche le plus du son "Eagles".
