  • 5.0 out of 5 stars Loved it

I lost my physical albums of Atoms for Peace and Thom Yorke and I really wanted to listen to them. This album has some tracks that I never heard of before. Thom Yorke is a genuis and this album is great for any fan of Yorke or Radiohead

  • 4.0 out of 5 stars Very Electronic

Reviewed in the United States on January 15, 2009

I love this CD. When away from Radiohead Yorke goes VERY electronic, more-so than when with Radiohead. I like it in small doses. But then ultimately after a few songs I just start jonesing for the whole band. These songs work well within playlists, especially The Drunkk Machine, and A Rats Nest. Worth getting for anyone who is a fan. Do You LOVE eraser? if so you will LOVE spitting feathers. The video is OK, Plays fine on my OSX machine but the viewer window is quite small Approximately 6x4" which was a disappointment. The content of the video is of typical Yorke political imagery. Worth a view.

  • 3.0 out of 5 stars Thom York keeps putting out variations of the same record ...

Thom York keeps putting out variations of the same record, all with this need little line drawn picture on them. The songs are all the same ones though presumably mixed differently. I've finally had enough and will not buy any more Thom Yorke CDs. For someone from one of the most prolific bands EVER, I'd think he could come up with more than just the same 10 songs, done over and over and over again.

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars Not over-rated

People that are ordering this album are forgetting that fact that you are ordering an IMPORT cd. Needless to say, it comes from another country. Take the price increase into affect once you realize that fact. Album is wonderful and is NOT over-rated or overly pricey, contrary to popular belief.

Big fan of Thom Yorke but not my favorite album of his. I LOVE the eraser though

  • 3.0 out of 5 stars Good music; poor video quality

Reviewed in the United States on February 7, 2007

This EP is very overpriced. Though I like the music tracks that are on it, it's just not worth the price. The quality of the video (as in the encoding, not the production) is so low that that doesn't add much value to the purchase either. I'd venture to guess you could find a higher-quality encoding of the video on bittorrent somewhere. This purchase is only for the most most hardcore fans and collectors.

  • 4.0 out of 5 stars

Reviewed in Japan on May 29, 2007

  • 1.0 out of 5 stars NOW I'M SPITTING FEATHERS!

Reviewed in the United Kingdom on November 6, 2010

Good grief, do NOT buy this rubbish!!!
I'm usually easily pleased so I'll explain. I'm a huge Radiohead fan. When I first heard Kid A-it was banished from my player! I thought aliens had replaced the original band members! Two years later, I gave it another go along with Amnesiac and did a complete U-turn. (Go figure). So I love the stuff now. I also replaced most of the studio albums for the anniversary doubles which have loads of B-sides and rarities, because they're soo good.
I didn't hear The Eraser until last year, and it quickly grew on me. I also have the remixes which, while very different from the original material, are nonetheless quite good. So I made no hesitation in forking out a fair bit for Spitting feathers.
I have never been so disgusted and disappointed in my life! These are b-sides that were literally made for the sake of there being something else on the singles. Anyone who thinks 'Skip divided' sounded lazy, rushed, and unfinished--wait til you hear these!!!
The standout track would be the one that's already on the album; Harrowdown hill. This is needlessly and pointlessly drawn out longer. The album version is superior. The rest communicates a striking lack of effort, including the lack of any attempt to make it SOUND like there was any! A mess of sounds with no cohesion or purpose. Period.
I implore anyone who is interested due to the kind of positive reviews I read, to try to sample the tracks first!

I liked the album very much, sad it was only available overseas which causes the price to go up.
