As far as the sound quality goes I see nothing wrong with this album. Upon putting it in my cd player I was instantly transported back to 1981 & 82 when I first heard these albums. Great singing,and great lyrics, they just don't make music like this anymore. And both classics on one cd, what more can you ask for?!

The first Balance album was perfect from start to finish, as it gathered great musicians from several bands and let them do their thing. This CD would be worth it just for that album, but you also get the follow-up release, which boasts several excellent tunes. Great price and great pop music.

The song "Breaking Away" is one of the great forgotten gems of 80s pop. Uptempo and catchy. You can sing along. You can dance along. Alas. Alack. Peppy Castro and his bandmates never attained such great heights, artistically or commercially as it was their only Top 40 hit.
All in all, there are about 7 or 8 great songs in total on this 2-LP CD. "I'm Through Loving You" and "(Looking for the) Magic" are especially good. It's worth a spin, but there's a little too much cringeworthy filler to warrant a fifth star. ("Fly Through the Night": what were they thinking?)
Now if I could just get a "Breaking Away" ringtone for my cellphone, I'd have it all.

Loved the vocals on this CD.Had both the albums when they came out and this CD sounds better.Learned of Pepi from his Barnaby Bye days.Saw them about a year ago after they re-grouped and they still sound good.

I didn't get this one because Renaissance Records has ripped me off a few times. I found out they will use any source to put out a record if they can't get the masters. But I did see the review by Joe L. states it's one of their rare good quality CD's. I know Joe's got a good ear so this one must be OK. But be warned. You could be wasting your money if you want quality sound and the label says "Renaissance"!

アメリカのポップロック・バンド、BALANCEのアルバムです。
名盤といわれる1st「Balance」と、これまた名盤といわれる2nd「In fot the Count」の「2 in 1・CD」です。メンバーは、
Perry Castro (Vo), Bob Kulick (G), Doug "The Gling" Katsaros (Key) です。1st・「Balance」(1981)は、"Breaking Away"がビルボード22位のヒットとなっています。
軽めのロックサウンドで、曲は、シンセサウンドが懐かしい、かなり80's風ポップです。
AORファンでも十分に楽しめると思います。（AORにしては、Dr・Gが結構鳴っていますが）2nd・「In for the Count」は、1stに比べて、かなりロック色が強くなっています。
1stがシンセ主体の楽曲なら、2ndはギターがかなり中心的存在になってます。
ハードポップという感じもありますが、メロディアス・ハードロックという感じです。ただ、1stも2ndも、スタイルが異なれど、素晴らしい楽曲・演奏が楽しめます。
Vo & シンセのポップなメロディをベースで、G & Drの迫力ある演奏がアクセントになっていると思います。「2 in 1」で、この値段！
80'sのメロディーが好きな人には、オススメです。
特に、80's Hard Pop系が好きな人には、Power Pushします！（参考）

Die CD ist gelungen und alles hat sehr gut geklappt. Werde Amazon weiter empfehlen. Ich bin sehr zufrieden.

産業ロックなどと呼ばれようがいい曲は良い。アルバム全曲良いのでお買い得です。

AORコアファンにも絶大な支持をもらっていたロックバンド「Balance」。
彼らの名盤中の名盤と呼び名の高い1stアルバムと2stアルバムのカップリング盤。
マニアの間ではプレ値まで付いていた「1st／Balance」はAOR色の強いメロディアスな
ロックの隠れた名盤と呼ぶのにふさわしい完成度の高いアルバムです。「2st／In For The Count」はAOR色は弱くなっていますが、メロディアスな部分は
残しながらロック色を強めているのですが、やはり中途半端な印象は否めません。この価格で隠れ名盤２枚が手に入るのですから、かなりのお買い得盤だと思います。
すぐに廃盤になりそうな気がしますので、ファンの方は早めの購入をおすすめします。 -

ふ〜ん名盤なんだぁ．．
「何処が？」としか言えない退屈なロック。
１曲目の「Magic」から、期待して聴くとずっこける可能性高し。
寧ろ「I'm Through Loving You」(これはイイ)と「Breaking Away」ですかねぇ。
因みにライブラリに残っている曲は19曲中５曲(笑)
あ〜久々に「買って損した！」と思わせてくれた作品。
計1400円が高くない人は買っても良し。
大らかな心の人なら、きっと楽しめるでしょう。
